You may schedule appointments with me directly through following this link https://www.relationshipandintimacy.com/contact-us/  If you are unable to keep an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that I may make the time set aside for you available to another client.

Private fee: $190.

I take the following health insurance:

Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, and UnitedHealthcare

In the journey of life, we often encounter challenges that prompt us to seek more profound understanding and healing. As a somatic psychotherapist, I guide individuals on their path to self-discovery, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Religious Studies from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Iowa, I combine traditional therapeutic techniques with somatic practices to create a holistic healing environment. My approach recognizes the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, allowing clients to explore their inner landscapes and uncover the root causes of their struggles.

I work with individuals facing various life issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential questions. Through compassionate listening, mindfulness, and integrative practices, we will embark on a transformative journey that honors your reconnection to body, thus facilitating deeper self-awareness and emotional processing.

In our sessions, you will have the space to explore and integrate body awareness into therapeutic practice. Together, we will work towards healing and empowerment, enabling you to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace.

Masters of Social Work

Graduating from the University of Iowa, I am licensed in the State of Iowa and have clinical experience in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and depression. As a somatic clinical therapist, I have used a variety of interventions, which include acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, and somatic mindfulness of body awareness and meditation.
The body, pronounced “σόμα”, “soma” in Greek, can harbor issues in the tissues, which then create psychological challenges and emotional patterns that hinder our daily functioning and thoughts, without our conscious awareness. The results of Somatic Healing Therapies have been life-changing for many, and I would be delighted to help you learn more about Somatic Therapy.

If you do not go within, you go without

International Yoga Retreat

Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga Trainer

Trained by Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D., in 2012, the practice of Restorative yoga, described as “A state where there is no movement, no effort, and the mind is quiet,” completely supports the body by the use of props, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, or “rest and digest.” Restorative yoga helps alleviate the effects of chronic stress, promotes deep sleep, lowers the heart rate, and cultivates a sense of inner calm.
